We use the Clareon IPL (intense pulsed light) which is a non-invasive light therapy that can treat acne. It uses light energy to target acne-causing bacteria and improve skin tone.
How it works:
- The Clareon IPL system uses a laser to emit specific wavelengths of light
- The light targets and destroys the p. acne bacteria that causes acne
The Clareon Acne Light will provide these additional benefits and enhancements to the program:
- Kills P. Acne bacteria
- Faster reduction of inflammation (and the resulting pain)
- Faster reduction of the redness (PIH - Post Inflammatory Hyperpigmentation)

The procedure is fast and non-invasive. Individual experiences do vary, but some patients experience minimal to no discomfort during the procedure. The sensation is sometimes compared to the snapping feeling of a rubber band or a warm sensation.
The Acne Light IPL technology is FDA-approved and guaranteed to penetrate the skin safely. During the procedure, clients wear safety glasses or goggles to protect their eyes.
Acne Light side effects are very rare, but some clients experience mild redness or swelling. These effects generally fade within hours after the procedure. Clients are allowed to use makeup immediately post-procedure.
No, one can continue with normal activities immediately following the procedure and wear makeup.
Yes, light therapy is safe to have done while pregnant or breastfeeding. Some laser treatments are not safe as the machine emits radiation, however, light therapy does not emit any radiation and is thereby completely safe. Since pregnant women cannot use skin lighteners and Salicylic, IPL is actually a great way to help reduce oil, fade redness and kill bacteria since they cannot use some products in the program!
